Here's the challenge, 15 fires in the Month of June you may use each of the following methods a maximum of 5 times (excet for the lighter or matches category whcih you can use 3 x) in what ever combination you like, to achieve the goal Number.. but you MUST use each method at least once.
All fires and methods must be photo documented and posted here, out of those who complete the task a name will be selected at random by my wife in the beginning of JULY
the winner will get a copy of mors korchanski's bushcraft.
Methods
1) lighter or matches (easy enough)
2) ferro rod (natural found tinder only)
3)Magnifying lens (again natural tinder only)
4) Flint and steel using char cloth (extra points for making your own char material
from found plant dander)
5) bow and drill (materials found on sight except for string and bearing block for the
experienced guys... if you have less than 10 friction coals under your belt you
can use a pre-made set.
