Where I live (Central Coast of CA), June is typically foggy/overcast on the coast & it the local residents dub it “June Gloom.”

But so far this month, it’s been spectacular weather… clear, warm, and just a light breeze.

bullpin bullpin and willmtn1 willmtn1 significantly helped brighten June for me too. So far, an epic month.

bullpin let some of his goodies go and Will went on a treasure hunt in southeastern Idaho. A collector/member, Rick, passed away a bit ago. Rick’s wife was going to donate all his wives knives to GOODWILL😱.

But, a friend of Rick’s stepped in and bought the lot from Rick’s widow. Will came in contact with the new collection holder and made some buys. I picked up some and I’m sure Will will be posting pics of some of his buys, too.

Here’s some of the Idaho rescue, bullpin buy and Exchange goodies.🔥

My life has been 'unbalanced' lately as well. It was a miracle and a bright spot that I could turn one of my transcontinental drives into a Busse rescue! Ricks friend said his wife was finding random knife stashes all over the house. I'm hoping theres another box of goodies to uncover!

It gave me an excuse to cut across highway 20 through Arco and the INL - the sage and bitter brush smell so good after a rain storm. * I was teasing Nuker with these SHSJ pics along the way

I was able to snag a few beauties from Ricks estate, including NMFBM LE #357

Thanks to Nuker Nuker we really cleaned house! Enjoy the beauties and you know where to send the Puzzle Heart when your ready to let it go! Haha

The SP NARKs are neat… six of each handle were made in 2005, offered through the Busse Combat Store.

The Active Duty is 0.15” (regular)
The snakeskin was a little dark… used/fondled a lot.

After (dish soap + gentle ScotchBrite scrub):

Heh didn't know I have CA Busse neighbors, next time im going up north to SF or somewhere on the coast, I'll drop ya a line to see what you up to...

Maybe that will show my GF what being obsessed with knives really is... as I have recently successfully overcome my addiction...by obviously ordering only must have knives...and swords...I only have 3 orders pending right now...

Sweet. Maybe, I'll grab a few you don't have fjr show...but seeing how the collection is growing I doubt I'd have much to bring.

That OG Badger Attack and the Puzzle Heart are spectacular. What a windfall. RIP Rick. I’m glad your knives went to good people who will appreciate them—and your good taste.

ETA—That Tankbuster! One of only a handful I’ve seen that ring all my bells on the options. Superb!

Here is the rest of Rick's stash - he definitely had great taste in knives!

Rick's career was doing nuke stuff out at the INL and Nuker Nuker also enjoys a career in that industry. I think studying soil was the wrong career move.

Good stuff 👍👍
You might have found the thread already, but small detail about the recurve Badger- the bolsters are MP45 (Same material as a Stealth Hawk, if I'm remembering correctly).
Nice piece.
Always did dig the Puzzle Heart too 🤙

Thank you Jaxx Jaxx … I’ll track that thread down🍿

I definitely had my INFI goggles on when I saw the Puzzle Heart…

And the recurve Badger…😳😍😄

I’m diggin’ the sharp top swedge on the Badger… and that curve in the spine is a prefect place to place opposite hand palm… for a powerful down cut, since this isn’t sharpened all the way to the handle.😉
