June Rendezvous?

June is right around the corner and what with the Governor they have in PA and the claimed uptick of COVID-19, there's no telling what he'll do as pertains to COVID-19 lock downs. Maybe Bill should have set it for August. Anyway, hope it goes well and everyone has fun. Bill will most likely be building Rendezvous knives before he builds us a BF knife.

Also Pa has the highest gas tax in the country. And the highest fees for toll roads in the world!! So. Bring lots of money.

So, is anyone planning on going this year? I'm tentatively planning to drive up after work on Thursday and spend either Friday or Saturday at GEC and then the other day with my folks (maybe even do some trout fishing on Oil Creek with my pops depending on how quickly it gets too warm). I'm looking forward to meeting some fellow forumites.

I am up in Canada. The border is still closed for travel so I will miss it again this year. For those attending I wish you a safe and fun weekend. I have been twice and would relive both times if I could.

I think it’s been 8 years since I last went due to work schedule and now that my days off have changed, they make it the weekend I usually go on my annual motorcycle camping trip! Darn it!!

I’ll be there with my two brother-in-law’s. Our room is booked at the Cross Creek “Resort” for Thursday and Friday nights.

I grew up in a house adjacent to the back of Cross Creek - I think it was called the South Course in those days. My brothers and I used to sneak on in the evenings and play golf until the rangers would chase us off. The Titusville area has seen a lot of hard times in recent years (hence my brothers and I all live 4-6 hours away) but it was a great place to grow up in the 70s and 80s. Fortunately there’s still some gems like GEC in the area.

Wow, you are a local. It does look like it would be a great place to grow up. Hope to see you there. If they hand out name tags, I will wear one. -Travis

I would really like to go sometime, but Oregon is a long way from Pennsylvania. Would be great to tour the factory and meet some of the folks there who make such excellent knives.

I was a local, moved away almost 30 years ago (after graduating). I live in Philly now, but my parents live in the area still. I still get back to visit, hunt, fish, etc. a few times a year. Believe it or not, I’ve never been to GEC, so I’m looking forward to it. Hope to get a chance to meet.

In the opposite sense, I’d love to get to the Oregon show sometime. Sounds like a great event.
