Jeff, I have been emmersed in the gun world and have been away from knife forums for awhile. Reading your nice article in June SWAT on machetes brought me back looking around again. It is nice to see an expert print some things you have discovered messing around on your own. I went looking at the machetes and found ESEe's new to me machete and promptly ordered one. I look forward to talking to you at BLADE.

Thank you, sir. One thing I like about SWAT is they let me write "no-bullshit" articles about what works and what doesn't. I have been so busy the last few months that I have taken some time off from writing but never fear, our own Reuben (bear) has taken over that role and has some good stuff coming out in SWAT.

Looking forward to seeing you at Blade!

Yeah. I can appreciate the no-bullshit approach of SWAT--Blade lost my subscription loyalty after they gave the WASP knife a glowing two-thumbs-up review.

I just renewed my SWAT subscription in large part due to Jeff, Reuben, and Joe's (Joezilla) articles. Of course Pat Rogers is a big draw too.

SWAT is the only magazine that I have ever subscribed to with my own money. I think that highly of it.

I've been going crazy looking for the mag, I use to get it at 7-11, gone now. Than went to b&n last night cause hey its a book store, they even have stuff from other countries. No luck :(

I think SWAT's content has changed fairly recently.

I remember a few years back, I stopped reading it because so much stuff (mostly gun stuff) was just so much bullsquat.

They seem to be taking a more realistic view of things these days.

Jeff's, Reuben's and Joe's articles are the first ones I look for.

Swat has really taken on a new direction with Lucibella at the helm.

Oh, ok, I didn't know they changed hands.

BTW, are you going to do some more articles with the Junglas (the spec ops team, not the knife)?

Yes, suppose to have already been back in-country but things keep popping up here and making it impossible to get away.

Regardless of how anyone feels about the war on drugs, the Junglas articles were awesome. They also had some of the best photography I've seen in SWAT.

The reason I subscribed to SWAT a few months ago was because of the then upcoming Columbian drug war articles that were going to be printed. Well, not only those articles, but that's what finally made me subscribe after hearing good things about the mag..
