Any new mods or models coming out along the lines of the Junglas, say, before next summer? How about a 1/4" blade? There will be new handles coming, but those will be from Dale, right? Not from ESEE?

I haven't heard about any new Junglas handles so that's news to me. Maybe Dale had posted something up that I didn't see.

We are turning our attention to 440C stainless on an ESEE-3. Not sure when but we're working on it. Nothing really new on the Junglas line except for a MOLLE panel that attaches to the front of the sheath.

One thing we will be doing soon is running the rmainder of the Orange G10 material that we bought to do the limited run Bladeforums Junglas models. So, we will have a few Orange handled G10 Junglas models that we will sell direct (not through dealers) and that will be all that we have. Not sure when that will happen though. Need to get with Shon to find out.

I would buy.

The ESEE steak knife should be able to kill and butcher, process wood for the fire, and cut the steak, but not stand out while at the table. Might need a bottle opener/pommel, to wash down that steak.

No, the ESEE steak knife is next.

Will it look like this:

Just grind a bottle opener into the pommel of the Junglas and voila!!!
The perfect ESEE steak knife!:D
(well, it might stand out at the table...)

Actually I'd gladly use that as a steak knife.
It would even look classy at the table.
I might have to get one to use instead of those horrible things they have at restaurants...

Oh, I would too. It is beautiful, no doubt. And at $425, expensive as well (to me). I just don't know why I would prefer it to an ESEE 4 or 5 for bushcraft.

Snob appeal, pure and simple.
And I can go with that for a bit. My $400-$500-$600 folders don't cut things any better than my $200 ones.
But there's something sexy about expensive, well crafted things.:)
But for utility, then nope, many times you don't get more just because you paid more.
