junglas sheath

i bought a junglas at the gunshow today but did not have a sheath with it.

i looked at eagles website but could not find any there. might look into a kydex but curious to see what some of my options are. thanks for the help!!

Well there are two options I guess. The first and most recommended option is to realize you got a real lemon there. Mail me this worthless piece of misshapen, sheathless steel and be glad to have seen the end of this terrible matter. (This is the most recommended course of action. PM me for shipping address.)

Or you could take the much more difficult, expensive, and lamentable course of action and follow this link http://www.eseeknives.com/Junglas-Sheaths.htm to buy a sheath for it.

Again, I can't recommend enough that you just mail the knife to me and feel the relief of no longer worrying. I am so sorry you had to endure this dreadful ordeal. Allow me now to carry your burden.

i did not do my homework before i bought it or i would have just ordered one with a sheath. i did see them for sale on esee site. i was looking to spend less than the cost of the new factory sheath.
 
Skinz,

I'm sure this leaves you no recourse but to mail me the blade. If not, you might consider going to knifekits.com and buying some KYDEX, if you have a little bit of gumption/resourcefulness you could make yourself a sheath cheaper than you could buy. Also, I am told there are some custom sheath makers that hang around blade forums in general that do superb jobs with Kydex and Leather (depending on your taste/need.)

i did pick up some kydex from jantz supply today also. i plan to make one but i like the cordura sheaths.

i really like the looks of the sheaths wolffbite suggested

Yeah, those rigs Wolfbite linked up were... sexy. Those things were really beautiful. Seems like you've figured out what you're about now though. Enjoy your Junglas. Send us some pics if you get some kind of fancy rig going.

the LMIW sheath is pretty nice.
kydex sleeve inside the nylon with enough room to wrap the sleeve with paracord before pinning it in place. (clevis pin at the bottom holds the 2 pieces together)

I can't find the thread where one of the RAT packers got one in but they are very nice. I'm considering one after christmas ;)

1066vik, do you have one of these? I emailed Charlie a few weeks ago when I bought my first ESSE (Junglas) to get some information on them. Any other info or your experience with these will be most grateful. Thanks for your help.

The stock sheath from ESEE is awesome, and mods easy.

Diz beat me to it.
mine's the khaki.
the belt loops in back will fit a 3" pistol belt, plus there are 2 molle straps.
there's a tie loop at the bottom, right below the drain hole.
the fronts of the pouches have 3 elastic pockets.
 
The LMIW sheath looks really good. I was originally going to get one, but once I got the Junglas the original Kydex sheath is just awesome.

Yea, I'm most likely going to keep the junglas in the kydex, and move my RTAK II to the LMIW
 
Skinz,

I'm going to assume you were at the Wanenmacher's gun show cuz that's where Jantz was at.. I was there and going to pick up some blanks, but that show is so huge my wife got tired of all the people and I left with nothing..
I vowed before never to return to a 10 acre show, but never the less I digress..

Myself I'd try to butcher up one with that sheet of kydex you bought, at least its a tempo fix.. who knows you may surprise yourself with one awesome functional sheath..
 
yeah we were at wannemacher. it was horrible as far as the crowd. its probably a good thing i didnt find the junglas til we were about to leave.

i plan on trying the kydex first. i am worried that the other sheaths are not going to fit where i want to mount it on my pack.

guess i could figure out a way to mount it where my hydration bladder goes since i carry h2o in bottles....
