Which Trailmaster? The SanMai version is convexed and it cuts better than the standard.
I don't have the Junglas yet, but I love my convexed SK5 Trailmaster.
Another one worth considering is the Browning Comp knife. I have this, but never actually used it. Its around the same size as the Junglas.
The Ontario SP-5 and Ontario 12" Cutlass are great cutters.
The SP-5 has a very thin grind at the front and will lop off saplings, green woods, and vegetation like nothing, but the 1/4" thick part near the handle still chops and splits hard wood well.
This video of a convexed RTAK always leaves me speechless.

If they both had a nice convexed edge the Junglas should edge out the Trailmaster due to its' thinner stock and 5oz. heavier weight. With the factory edges it might be more even but still the TM should slice better and the Junglas chop better.
Are you saying the Junglas is thinner than the trailmaster? Wouldnt that make it slice better as well?
