Jungle Green Blade Coating Option?

Asked earlier in another thread without acknowledgement:

Jungle Green blade coating finish does not appear as an option for the Battle Saw on the order page. Is this an oversight or have the combat grade color options been scaled back?

Thanks for any info.
 
Hard to say why. Busse IS still using it, as recently as the TGLB. Personally, it is one of my favorites, but I don't think it is as popular as the others in general. Send one of the ladies an e-mail for a definite answer. :thumbup:

ETA - Looks like it was available on the AMS CG as well.
 
Thanks for responding, fellas. Sounds like I didn't miss any big color discontinuation announcement. Disappointing that my favorite standard Busse color isn't available. Still a sick looking knife.
 
It wasn't an option for the BG-TG either (thats what I wanted). Also not on the CG-SOB. I think they got rid of it.

It's my favorite coating too. Not only for the color but I like that its smooth.
 
One of the TGLB's I got was in green and that was just recently.
 
I like the smooth coat a lot. It sure wears out faster than the other colors with use though. I think a green ceracote would be an awesome option.

We're not talking about the new cerakote here. The Jungle green epoxy powder coat has been available for a long time!
 
I thought they used a crinkle effect ceracote? My bad must have read wrong somewhere, still though they'll probably offer a green it might have been out at the time or simply forgotten when they posted it for sale. I would also like to see this offered in the green color swamp rat and scrapyard uses
 
Nope. The standard coatings are epoxy powdercoats. They only recently started using Cerakote. The Busse green that the OP is asking about is the same green that you've seen in the Rats and Dogs. No biggie. :thumbup:
 
I was surprised not to see Jungle Green too and i can't believe that Muddy Brown is more popular than Jungle Green. Black, Sage and Tanker sure but Muddy Brown?
 
I like the muddy too. I'd love to see something halfway between sage and muddy, and some maybe halfway between sage and jungle green.
 
I think I like muddy so much is cause who else uses that color for their blades besides Busse? I can't think 9f any off top of my head. Plus I just think it looks great. Having all the color\scale options is something very much appricate in Busse knives. Would really like a green to be an option for upcoming models too. Would be neat if could come up with 2\3 color Camo coated blades. Well I guess I did see some digi Camo Swatmandus but wish is was a more common option. Whatever though I'm happy with mud or green.

If Jungle Green was available in the Battle Saw, I don't think I could resist ordering one in Jungle Green and green/black G10. :cool:
