Any plans for a RAT jungle survival guide? With the new aim at training and skills, Id like to see some skills threads, or literature....

When I see photos from the RAT trips I always seem to see pics of the raised jungle beds the students build....Ive searched online trying to find more info as far as materials, construction technique, etc... But always end up short.

Im really interested in building one...

Any source for info etc???

I seen a few dvd's covering this subject but I have not purchased them yet to view there content but it was a jungle survival subject
 
We will eventually get RAT into this century with a DVD. Problem is Mike and I are just too damned ugly to be presentable in a DVD. Need a good model for this job.

Back to the original question though: Not sure RAT could do anything different than what's already out there when it comes to jungle skills. Nothing really different about what we teach than what's pretty much already covered. I could, however, teach you to build a swamp bed in about 10 minutes. They are very simple.

:D I think the RAT chicks all hot and sweaty would do ? :thumbup:
 
How about having Reuben Bolieu (BearTheDog) do the instruction with the RAT girls just standing around all hot and sweaty.


Or maybe we can buy Ron Hood's jungle video, and you can put one out with just the RAT girls all hot and sweaty??
 
There is no substitute for in-person training in my opinion. Survival, firearms training, DIY projects, whatever it may be. With that said, I’ve got a stack of training DVDs and books and I would be one of the first in line for some RAT training videos and or written materials. The stuff that’s on the RAT website is great. Build off that and you’ve got a winner.

What, the chicks off the RAT website in Daisy Dukes and cut off tank tops? That would be terrible!

I really don't give a damn, I've watch RON HOOD for cryin' out loud!

As long as there's hot, sweaty RAT girls, I'd watch a video with you and Mike in it!!

DVD...That would be a neat idea.

I know books are no substitute for real dirt time training, but theres now way I can afford to take classes on ALL the subjects im interested in. I have my hands pretty full keeping my medical stuff up to date.

Id be interested in some pointers on a Swamp Bed if youre inclined to help a brotha out Jeff....

What about taking vids while in peru? Just some short clips to give us some tips not like the full course or anything.
