Just needing anyone's input on this brand and it's quality. Seems to be great steel, just don't know anything about the name???

They also have a couple other folders of seemingly great value both made with either AUS-10 or ATS-34.

The "Marshall" series (under $45)

The "Venom" series (avg. $60)

I had a Junglee Sahara Jr. folding liner lock a few years back that I loved. Took a great edge, held it pretty decent (AUS8), and man could that thing take a beating. I mean it was one tough knife. I've recently seen them below the $20 mark, which would lead me to say they are a prime Byrd killer (if the quality has remained good).

Ah, Junglee! That's a brand I haven't seen in years. I first saw them featured in the Gorilla & Sons catalog, before they acquired Gutmann Cutlery. I had a Junglee Marshall a few years back. Nice AUS10 blade, very sharp and was very light weight. Those particular Junglees were made in Japan, some models like the Sahara Jr series were made in ROC and where apparently made by the same factory that made the Smith & Wesson SWAT knives. The Venoms where part of their so-called "Armed Forces" series which included the Tri-Force and the JF2. The JF2 had a Canadian maple leaf medallion on the handle.

Junglee is a segment of an American company. Don't know where they design the knives, but they are all imports. At least some of them are marked "Seki City, Japan". I have read a couple of good items about them. Do a search on "Junglee". I think the "hattori fighter" is well thought of.

I bought a Junglee Marshall because I wanted to try AUS10. It's a less common steel. I got the FRN handle because I found a place that would sell it to me for ~$35 vs. ~$65 for the aluminum handle version.

The blade is excellent. Seki City made. It measured at 58 Rockwell hardness at work in the engineering lab. F&F are good. Lock-up is solid. Passes spine whack. No blade play to speak of. The inserts make the handle grippy. BUT, the FRN handle is too thin IMO. When cutting hard, I can feel the handle twist a bit in my hand. It doesn't feel insecure. It just does not feel 100% solid. I've got a number of FRN handled knives. Never had this problem with any others. It's a design flaw not a manufacturing flaw. I think that if they had not put in the inserts that the handles would have been robust enough. I think they did not properly compensate for that.

Good steel, good F&F. I'd recommend the aluminum handle version.

Well, for the price I can get them for I am gonna get one standard "Marshall" combo edge, and one mini "Marshall" combo edge. Along with a stadard size "Tri Point" combo edge. All 3 for less tha 1 bill !!!!
