There is a junk/second-hand store near me, and the proprietor has taken to messaging me when a batch of cutlery comes in, in return for pricing the objects for him.
Here is the first pick, which he graciously gave me for cheap!
The Joseph Rodgers would have been a coup - if only the joints had been oiled!:( Alas! No spring left! But still a nice relic for $5 or so!

Pretty cool, Charlie I like the sheath knife and a couple of those look interesting. That cork screw is a bit disturbing though ...

That Rodgers is nice. And a Boker with the shield intact, that is a rare bird right there...:D

Awesome finds! Could you take some pictures of the little lockback on the left, and the steel knife with lanyard on the right? They look interesting to me, I want to find one of those lockbacks for myself!

Great score Charlie, that triple pinched Rodgers "barlow" looks ready to take off on that huge prop.:D

Best regards

Robin

Nice finds Charlie, sounds like you have a good arrangement there my friend  It's a shame about the Rodgers :( I love the corkscrew! :D

The Joseph Rodgers is quite a find even with no snap! Is that buffalo horn?

I like the corkscrew too :D

When I was a boy, going to and setting up a couple of tables with my Dad at gun shows, I recall seeing quite a few of those spread-leg cork screws.

Had I known then what I know now, I'd have had him buy them all, among other things, of course.

I'm retrospectively wealthy.

This Lockback is a beautifully made little knife - probably one of the better Japanese makers did it!

Brazilian made caplifter Jack, the handles are stamped to resemble deep engraving. Nice lanyard - I might re-whip the loop.

This is (was) an amazing JR! 4 5/8", the shield is cast Zinc or Pewter, and is 3-dimensional, raised about 3/32"!

The JR and the Maxam LB appear to have Horn handles.

Wow, I love the brazilian knife, very nice and simple blue collar type knife. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but aren't you in the UK? I thought locking blades were illegal. I am probably confused but still, great haul!

Canada is considered part of the British Commonwealth, a "child" of the British Empire.
That is where I currently reside!

The Commonwealth is a voluntary association of 54 countries that support each other and work together towards shared goals in democracy and development.

The Commonwealth believes the best democracies are achieved through partnerships – of governments, business, and civil society.

Beyond the ties of history, language and institutions, members are united through the association’s values of: democracy, freedom, peace, the rule of law and opportunity for all.
