Every now and then, I run across a lefthanded Kershaw folder, that I am told was a limited run.

Has there been a reversible pocket clip or lefty run of the JYD II?

Handled on yesterday at a gun show,a nd gotta say it is one awesome folder, but before I order one, wanted to see if it's out there for a lefty?

IMO these Kershaw flippers beg to be ambidextrous, and I say that as a right-hander. FWIW if you happen to prefer tip-up carry, it would be real light-duty to add a lefty clip.

From 8 months of carrying a JYD2, I can tell you, LC, it is a terrific knife ... one of those I really liked from the get-go, and have steadily grown to like more and more, the more I've used it.

Thanks, the show where I saw one is right here in my home town, and is open for 4 more hours. It's about time I run back out there I think!

I prefer tip up, so I may look into having a clip added!

LC, there has not been a lefty clip friendly JYD II version produced, sorry.

No sweat, I just got back with one anyway! :D

I ran back to the show, and a buddy was looking at them with me and bought one also.

Dog of War is right, it shouldn't be that hard to get a left-handed tip up clip installed, the liners have plenty of steel!

Glad I went back and bought it, this is one great knife.

Now that's what I like to see, a man of action! Don't think you'll regret this purchase, LC ... though it may put some of the more expensive knives in your collection to shame. :)

It's already surprised me, I had made the dumb assumption that at this price point, it was Taiwan made, didn't notice until I got home that it was USA.

That's amazing for a knife of this quality at $45.00 out the door!

I also gotta say that I spent a good chunk of last night and this morning going forum to forum searching for threads on the JYD II, and the only negative statements I found was on the size of the pocket clip, but nothing bad about the quality.

For several threads across 5-6 different forums, that says a lot to me.

Yup, ya really can't go wrong with a JYD II...I found that out, thanks to Thomas W.....If it weren't for my ZT 0200 and Cyclone(s), the JYD II would be my favorite folder.

I just re-profiled my JYD II to 14 or 15 degrees inclusive tonight. It was very sharp at the factory edge, which I think was stated at 18 to 22 on the paperwork. It was shaving sharp, it is hair popping sharp now. I will let you know if I have any edge retention problems after some heavy use. I really doubt it though. I also did the same with my Cyclone. Even though I am a righty using both of these left handed feels very good, not akward at all after a little practice.

This thing sure has an addictive quality to it, I've been finishing up wrapping presents today, and keep picking it up to flip it a bunch.
