junkie's dilemma

I seem to be on a blade binge and can't stop. Despite my previous purchases, I'm still thinking of 3 knives. Benchmade Opportunist, Kershaw Leek SV30 and Kershaw Nakamura. I'm afraid I'll get all 3 eventually, but is there anything I should know before I do it in order of cost?

I don't much use clips although I have several knives with them, so that's not a deciding factor. I also never wear a suit and wear slacks for only funerals and weddings. Not then if I can help it. Hope to be buried barefoot, shorts and NO tie.

Yes there is one thing you should know before buying them in order of cost.

You should, instead, buy all 3 at the same time.

Remember, there's no such thing as too many knives.

I guess this might have been the wrong place to ask this question. "There's a fine line between a hobby and mental illness" I'm probably several knives over the line.

Im addicted thats for sure,but luckuly my tastes have turned to more traditional knives the last few years.

There is no such thing is to many knives,but there is such thing as not enough money.:grumpy:

My vote goes for the Nakamura. I just don't really care for the other 2.....

Lotablades, I'm scared you're right, but see the never too many knives, but not enough money remark. (I still haven't mastered manipulated the logistics of the forum, or I would have put in the quote and the source.) Wouldn't want to lose focus on my illness/hobby.

Not that it's a long-term solution, but if you buy just one (make sure you buy the knives that might not be around soon, discontinued!) try to find some real use for them. try them out in the kitchen or whittling or as a one-and-only EDC for a while. THEN go on to another, and make the next one as different as possible. If you try to buy a lot of similar knives or variants, you .. ARE .. doomed.
