Junkyard Dog II tip-up mod?

Anyone do a successful tip-up clip mod on a JYDII? If so, got pics? Handled one a little while ago and was majorly impressed.... until I saw the clip was tip-down only. I'm really considering getting the composite version and installing a thumbstud and, if possible, mod it for tip-up carry. Any help is appreciated.
