Well guys I've done it again...

Went to a local Gun&Knife show today and fondled and JYD II (1725). What a great knife. As I have some to expect of kershaw the knife came blazing sharp. Popped hairs, push cut news print, wittled, cardboard and still pops hairs. Also has a relatively thin profile allowing for a magnificent slicer. I am begining to wonder if these things are hand sharpened.

Lock up is also as has become expected....TOP KNOTCH. 0 blade play, 90% of the liner slides right under the blade and locks in place with a comforting whack. Passed my spine whack test with flying colors. Kershaws textured G10 is also IMO almost perfect as for as grip on a folder goes. The style of clip is not quite my style, but it also didnt stop me from purchasing the blade either.

All in all I have to so if you dont own one you should look into them. A bigger no nosense folder could not be asked for in a relatively light package. Did I mention the balance is spot on the ceneter of the finger groove on the knife.
Another great product from Kershaw, whos QC must be A+++ top notch.:)

Who here owns one, and what was you impressions of the knife?

The JYDII is one of my favorite models Kershaw produces. I carry the regular production model at work in my EDC rotation. That liner lock rivals some framelocks and that Sandvik 13C26 steel is perfect for utility purposes. It really is a terrific knife and opens like a custom flipper. Now go out and get yourself the composite blade model and the top shelf Ti/SG2 model. If you think the JYDII is nice wait till you wrap your mitts around those two puppies!

I order my JYD II 1725ST online yesterday and to say I am excited is an understatement.

I made the decision to purchase without having seen and held one first due to all the comments, pro & con, by the folks in this forum.

It will be my first Kershaw knife, and the first folder I have brought in 12 years.

I have the "auto tanto" version, if you will. The ZT 0610ST :D It has the same handle, and is the same size as the JYD II.

I do know that all USA made Kershaw's and ZT's are hand sharpened, and I believe that their other knives are too.

One of these is second on my list of Kershaws to acquire, right behind a ZT 0200. :D

I looked for the CB model, as thats the one I orignally wanted, but there were none at the show. Just have to wait till next week and pick one up off the ole interweb.. I really do like the design quite a bit though. Its built like a tank. In my limited experience with blades, I cant remember one that has as good of balance as this model either. Balances on a single finger with ease.

If the sale JUST ended, then we were bidding buddies!
I wasn't quite fast enough. For the price, your one lucky (Junkyard) Dog.:)

Just ended a few minutes ago. I've been watching CBJYDs for a while. I just kept missing actions or getting out bid. Feels like the end of a long, tedious hunt. Good luck. There's more actions coming up. I know. I've been watching those too. ;)
