Just for sh-ts and giggles... I took a few picks of the JYD1 next to a vintage case Bulldog. This thing is without a doubt the largest traditional folder I have ever held. 5.25" closed. Anyway, just wanted to compare. Love em both!

Now I really would like to see that Case piece against the Mega JYD. (11 1/4" OAL).

Nice pics OE...I really like the Case!

Thomas, what are you guys feeding them dogs out there anyway? That thing's beautiful! And huge!

The JYD Megaknife wins. The Case is just shy of 10" overall (if you can believe it). I'll try to take a better size perspective shot later

I promised to post a size perspective image of the case. Once again, it's 10" open length ;)

I'm sorry, but that last picture belongs in the Whine & Cheese 'Pictures that make you say WTF' thread. :)

Can those still accurately be called nail nicks?

HAHA! I can actually put half my thumb in that slot.
I bought those quite a while back, just as a conversation piece.

There are 2 really good knives in that pic though. :D

Really nice, OE. Ya can't hide money! I see you've got Trex decking, too. That stuff ain't cheap.

That Case really dwarfs the JYD. Even though I own a plethora of
'tactical' knives, I've always had a soft spot for the traditionals.
Heck, most of us grew up on that.

Thanks OE. (sorry for distracting your thread with my pic.) ;)

went overboard on the deck... because the original deck was 1500 sq.ft of deathtrap waiting to happen. the house may fall apart but the new decks will be here long after.

ever lifted one of those composite boards?
