Randy this will be great for you.
I am not sure how many I have been to at this point (15 or 16), but I can say each year is better than each previous year.

To everyone heading to Blade,

Have safe trips. I am looking forward to meeting a lot of new people as well as connecting with old friends.

Vince..really sad to hear you wont make it..Same with the muskrat man..

Hey Muskrat..do you collect the muskrat pattern or did you get the name from trapping?? When I was a kid they called me muskrat..I would ask for conibear traps every year for my birthday and Christmas so I could spend more time catching rats!! Lots of fun for a kid..Also my favorite knife was the old timer muskrat..still have one mint that I got back in the 70s..

Looking forward to catchin up with you both next year..if the FBI lets me go..

Now Randy, won't you be embarrassed if it turns out he is really a Muskrat man, kinda like the pig boy on Seinfeld. :D Or...what if he smells like a muskrat and the kids made fun of him at school...huh...did you ever think of that.:D

oh..That did not cross my mind! Well..if this be the case, My Apologies to the hairy little feller.. ;)

You and me both Vince...... although I may have to send my Wife on a Caribbean cruse with a pool boy named Ricardo...... but it would be worth it;) :D

This will be my first major show. I guess I am doing up right by going to the grandaddy of shows. Lookin forward to the show and meeting many forum friends in the flesh.

I was just wondering...does it get pretty quite around here during Blade? It appears that a very significant number of BF folks attend that show.

Kerry,Have a good one ! Maybe Ill meet you there next year,I made a promise to myself to go.
As far as "quiet" around here,I already feel it,a bit.It is almost like a calm before the storm,or maybe it is just me.I'll be thinking about all my blade-bros.,I hope you all have the time of a knife-nut' life,Get Lucky....

Vince,

Drop me a line if you want me to keep an eye out for something.
It does get a little quiet during Blade. For a lot of us (and I am not even much of a partier) each day starts before 7 and ends after midnight. Makers are burning the midnight oil well before Blade trying to finish up as much as they can so it does have an effect on participation here.

The worst part for me is almost over ... the waiting.

Don't worry Vince, with Blues and Gus at Blade the inmates will be running the asylum. We'll keep things lively and I promise to post pictures of my vintage plastic spork collection.

Who needs Blade?
