Honestly knowing what I know about total hip replacements, having an idea what kind of patient Mr. Emerson must have been, I am sure when his physical therapist push him hard, and Mr. Emerson did the recomended PT, and more. Mr. Emerson in this short u-tube show no signs of have a THR that recently. GREAT JOB!
Back in 1970 I worked in Hollywood Presbterian Hospital near Sunset & Vermont in Los Angeles. HPH was one of the first hospitals in the U.S.A. doing total hips. I actually got to see several of the THR surgical procedures from start to finish, and it was one of those procedured said made me say wow.
I am sure today these THR procedure are routine, not like 45 years ago where patient from all over the U.S.A. came to HPH for their THR.

How was your pain after the surgery? I am facing a double knee replacement.

I had my THP on my right hip....7 yrs.ago....only thing is... I no longer mix it up on the ground.Oh yeah...no more kicks to the head(at my age I refuse to kick higher than the knee).Sorry I failed to talk to you at Blade....you were(as usual ...very busy).We did nod as i passed by!
