Sunday, my Daughter-in-law, and my son and I pick up a small collection (Bag of Tricks) of Buck Knives down in San Diego...
We got about 30 Buck knives or so... No Stag knives this time... Someone else got there first and got them... Next time...
You can't get them all, but we try... I will post some pics of some of them soon on the SPS... But here's a Bag picture...

Thanks for looking...

Bag of Tricks... Sunday the 8th....

I think I see the glint of a brass 111 down in the back of the corner under the thing...

You gotta love the way Armand and his son and daughter-in-law buys Buck knives!!

I consider myself darn lucky to find just one Buck knife locally, but he picks them up in the San Diego area by boxes and bags and then teases us with photos of a glimpse inside.

Looking forward to seeing more in the next SPS!! :)

Ya and when you do find one it is typically not a deal.

Off topic: BTW how do you get your whites so white/clean?

I generally use foam peanuts or bubble wrap for cushioning/packing but clever to use your underwear, Sunday must be your laundry day, for protecting your cargo. :)

Is Armand smiling? Someone please check for me, THX.

Oregon, that's the way we got the knives... They were in the Bag and that's white paper... LOL ...

Steve, how did you see that one in there... I didn't think you would, under that thing in the corner...

wrong picture 513... It's in there some where... :D

I have x-Ray vision don't you know. :). Wishful thinking. I have a birthday coming up and I already know what I want!

Do you ever know why the collection is for sale? I am just curious. Changing brand, taking up knitting, cash desire, cut themselves once too often, wife says either you go or the knives go, or death or .... THX

Steve, I think I see something... Wow... you do have x-ray vision... I see something different...

;)

Brass 111 is underneath stumpy.

ITE you are the man. Really. I mean that. You having such a gem is like all of us having it. No, it hasn't been lost to history grinding out cherished cutlery into dust/rust. Uh uh, nope. It is in the hands of a terrific collector, world class and he has a camera that he knows how to use and he uses it. Wondermint. Sugar plums dance in my head when I see such as you. I love this stuff. Keep it hidden. Keep it safe. Bless you Armand. And, you know, it is just a matter of time before you uncover, obtain and return to Buck the long ago stolen scimitar in your scouring of the earth for Buck treasures. WTG my friend. WTG. I celebrate you. Really I do. You have 1/2 a beer coming. Yes you do. :) :)

It is too early but, nevertheless, I have a cup in my hand and I am raising it high cheering you on. They broke the mold when you were made. You are singular and much valued. So many great individuals are not appreciated until they are gone. You, however, are celebrated here and now. Hurrah, hurrah and hurrah! You walk the earth like a giant, with cutlery, in my eyes. Yes you do.

Steve, why people sell there knife collection... Some sell because they need money... Some sell there Knives because they got them in a trade or someone owed them some money and they only had some sweet Buck Knives to settle there debt and the most reason is someone died in the family and they don't want the knives...
Sad... But true...

So good knives are a form of currency. Like bitcoin or bullion. Just another way to hold wealth, save, make money or liquidate debt. So many good uses, so much great cutlery and so little time. Buying, holding and selling. Commerce, the stuff of life.
