Well, finally got down the lake and took a couple pics of my '9'. Also hacked through a 2in. tree branch in less that a minute and was still able to shave hair off my arm.

FivePointOhh- How do you tie your lanyard on you BK-9 like that? I've tried to figure it our before, but i just couldn't get it like that.

Thanks a million. I have already completed it and am looking forward to having th lanyard for the next time i use my BK-7 to chop.

The pictures were taken at a private lake belonging to the Penn Warner Club outside of Tullytown, PA.

Hey there FivePointOhh,

In keeping with the spirit of your thread, here's a couple of pics of my BK-9 in action again. I'm actually going to have to *gasp* sharpen it now for the first time! :D

I went a little crazy on the weekend, and chopped down my testing tree, as you can see from the second photo. I guess I'll have to start on a new one for my next additions to my stable.

Enjoy!

I am really impressed by the BK9. I had a BK7, and felt that it could use a bit more length, and ended up selling it. The price and quality are unbeliveable on the Becker line, I don't know how they do it! Gotta get me one of those 9's!

... in Desert Motif and the thing is H-U-G-E to me! It is not a lightweight, either. I would imagine that the BK9 would be like a Busse Battle Mistress or Swamp Rat Battle Rat. For the money, the Becker BK9 would be a steal! I like the Desert Motif better since it looks like it is more for outdoors. The Tactical Black and Green Sheath has been done to death. I might opt for a BK9 although it is getting to the size to where a machete or hatchet would come into play. It would probably throw quite well and be good for edged combatives for reach, though. It definitely would qualify for the name bowie. The BK7 is good enough and a BK10 would complement it quite well. The BK9 is a combat level knife that probably would serve someone in the military quite well.
