I have had the experience recently to need to contact the factory for service and/or parts needs. Is it me (I'll admit I have No patience} but there seems to be no one answering phones, you need to leave a message and hope they call you back.
I did finally speak to some one about the broken clip on my 898 and it was sent out quickly, Thank You.
Next issue is a NIB 2012 issue 0336BKSLE-B black micarta handle and a damascus blade. First thing I noticed is the left side bolster which releases the blade is "sticky", I compared it to a 2011 issue 336 that I have. Second that bolster does not align with the side plate, and the blade does not seem to be centered in the handle (minor annoyance).
Question is how did this get past QA and out the door in 2012? I have sent the knife in to be reworked (12 week backlog).

I suspect that Buck, like many companies is having a labor issue.

2012 NIB? Where did you get it, and how long have you had it? Are you sure it's not a fake? I'm not saying it is, because I don't know. But an eleven year old brand new knife with quality issues, raises my suspicions.

O.B.

HH you are right, as I said I have No patience, plus I am Retired and have time on my hands.

OB, it all appears new, all paperwork is present and correct plus it is from an estate of a BCCI member whom I had some dealings with prior to his passing.

I have heard before of knives that have slipped through the process.

Dangit, 12 weeks! I've got about 4 or 5 knives I'd like to send in for repair and/or SPA.

I apologize you are having a hard time contacting us. We are here Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm PST answering phones calls as they come in and check our voicemails everyday in the morning to call those who left messages back. We got a little backed up processing and repairing and have since got Danny an apprentice and hired some extra help with processing. This will help us get caught back up.

Thank You, that would be nice I just today left a second message about a missing screw I need for the scales on my 2011 336 with black/blue scales (looks like Micarta?) the screw is silver T6.

I am looking through our voicemail logs and cant find your name. Can you text us your phone number at 208-262-0614

Good News! Just got a call the screw for this 336 will be out next week, yay. Now just waiting for The other 336 to clear the mailroom and get an email that means the 12 week countdown has started.

GREAT NEWS!! Yesterday out of the blue my fully realigned, smoothed action Buck Custom 336 Black Damascus showed up on my porch!
BIG shout out to Matt (& the three ladies I talked to over the last couple months) and all the people at Buck I was told 12 weeks turn around, back to me in four!
The other two knife problems missing screw, broken clip were remedied in days.
I'd post pics if I could figure it out, oh well.

Thank You
Buck
