I headed out today with forum member Satsumatengu. I took him up to one of my favourite view spots, quite a lung buster but you are rewarded with great views.

Came across this bone, in this exact spot on a tree across the trail about 3 feet up in the air, pretty odd unless someone had placed it there !

As we neared the top we disturbed what we think was a bear, it made a heck of a noise crashing through the bushes to get away from us. We both agreed it sounded too noisy and clumsy for it to have been a deer !

With the ' Bear ' behind us we made it to the top !

Pitt, as an aging outdoor's man with arthritic knees I relive past memories through your photos. I can still hike, but I have difficuly going down hill, so I'm stuck with the flat terraine. Thanks for the courtesy you extend to us old dudes.
