Hey everyone,
I have been lurking a while here and finally signed up. Thank you for all of your shared experiences and I must admit, it is nice to find a group of folks that have serious, no-nonsense blade addictions like I do!!!

From the outside looking in this W&SS group looks pretty tight knit. I am hoping I can contribute to the knowledge and passion for the outdoors... oh, and the severe addiction to knives!

welcome to BFC. i was a long time lurker before i ever created an account too. this is the place to be if you have a knife addiction.

Welcome! Where are you from? What do you do for fun? Favorite knives?

Welcome! Now go ahead and join in the fun, it`s a great group of people here.

Welcome. The most important rule to remember is "This thread is worthless without pics!" Do that and you'll fit in just fine.

Thanks for the kind words and welcome.

I live in Southeastern VA (white as of this weekend!) but lived 26 of my 31 years in Boston. My passion has always been for the outdoors although you would never know it if you saw me from 19 to 27. I spent a lot of time over on the survivalistboards.com and what brought me over there was, what I perceived, a large need for financial and economic insight. The wonderful people over there asked me to set up my own blog and/or website but to be honest, my passion was/is for the outdoors.

So I compromised and set up a YouTube page where I could deliver economic/financial commentary as well as outdoor adventures and gear reviews. Check it out if you get a chance at: http://www.youtube.com/FranchiseChronicles

I am humbled by some of your outdoor knowledge and look forward to learning a ton as well as perhaps sharing my experiences with you all.

For fun I certainly love playing with the kids (2 daughters ages 4.5 and 1) and bothering my wife. She cannot get over how a new knife or gear shows up each week.

I would say my favorite knife is the Rtak II. I go for high value gear, stuff that delivers a lot of performance, quality, and reliability/capability for the lowest price. I would love to obtain some of the Falkniven offerings, BRKT, etc but they are a bit out of my price range as of now. I am slowly building up my outdoor gear so that the adventures may continue!

I will post pic's later on of my gear but you can see a ton of it on my YouTube page. Thanks again everyone!

Welcome aboard, kid. You'll find this is a truly great — and informative — place to hang out. Great people here, and helpful, too.
