Just a fun knife buy

Ever get tired of thinking out which knife to buy, for certain uses ? I have an outdoor orientation so always try to match a certain knife to a certain task for ''practical'' reasons. I'm tired of that and just decided to get some ''play'' blades for no other reason other than I just wanted them. Well, that's not totaly true, I do have a practical use for a machete to clear river brush. But the play factor is high with that also. So, looks like I'm ordering a Cold Steel Magnum Kukri machete and a CS Rajah 2 monster folder. I was spinning over grabbing an ESEE 4-6 or a Becker BK-9 etc. Nope, this order is pure fun and farting around. I think that a guy has to do that type of buy now and then. What have you bought lately that was just simply for giggles and schlitz !?

Every once in a while I stray from my "must have" list and buy something that looks like fun.

The last thing I bought was a Boker Magnum Khukri (a while ago) and a Hogue EX-01 (a few weeks ago).

I havent had the chance to use either really hard yet - but they were fun purchases.

Just got a (very slightly used) Benchmade m42 just for flipping (playing). Maybe I would give it a turn in my EDC rotation too?

I just bought a CRKT M21-04, and was very pleasantly surprised. I bought it because I wanted to play with the flipper and see how the heck the Auto-LAWKS worked, but it turns out that I really like it, which I didn't expect given the stuff you see about CRKT. It's been riding around in my pocket for a few days. Aside from the flipper (which is a lot of fun) it's fun having such a big knife. It's not actually much longer than my Endura, but the width and height of it make it seem like it's huge in comparison.

Kershaw RAM might just be the ultimate "fun" knife. Although it is an extremely nice and useful knife.

I just bought a CS Rajah II as well. Just an awesome folder. Really cool to just own. Surprisingly, it can actually be carried although it is way to large to be legally carried here at least. You'll really enjoy it, I know I do.

The Ontario RAT 1 Folder is the knife that represents this notion for me. And it turned out to be a big time keeper and I carry it sometimes versus my super knives.

I've done the same. Last one was a Cold Steel TiLite in aluminum w/6" blade. Really nifty when I play Godfather!:D;)
