Beckie-ann wanted to work on making a couple bow drill pieces so we took the day off and headed to the swamp. We didn't have to much time since we were meeting friends for dinner later on but I managed to get some shooting done and she made some some bow drill stuff. Sonya dug holes and ate a mouse, that was our day :) Today was her day so I made her do all the bush work while I fired off some 10mm and .22 mag rounds!

I was partial to the condor boomslang at first but it has really grown on me. It's an excellent, well balanced blade.

I also brought along the Ruger single six .22 mag for some target practice. This is my favorite small game pistol.

She made some fire straws at the house the other night and was eager to test them out. (Vaseline cotton balls sealed in a straw)

Various pieces she made that still need to be cut to length and experimented with, she's coming along well though.

maaan, that is so cool, I'm lucky if I can get the mrs. out to get a fire going, she is a shooter and a wicked driver, but making a bow drill, that is way cool...

Great pics by the way.:D

haha the green piece in the last picture was her first attempt at a bow but gently told her it was going to be too skinny and it would break so she made another :)

She is always eager to practice bush skills it keeps me motivated too!

haha, its like us with knives, I picked up a triage from Benchmade, she comes into the store and then wants a barrage, how can I let my wife have a nicer knife then me? :D

Damn women, i haven't had more competition with any one...

Very nice, Joe  Hey, if you haven't married that young lady, you better hurry up. Women that can and will do your bush chores for you a few and far between ;)

Wow, wish my girl had the slightest interest to get out hiking with me let alone what your lady is up too. Jealous of the dog and that single six as well!

Very true, however most come with heavy baggage in other areas :)

She's only in it for Sonya anyway :)

I love that single six, one of my favorite pistols especially in .22mag.

She has a Jeep Cherokee I have a Wrangler :)

It's worth the wait hawkeye you will find exactly what your looking for if you wait. I jumped the gun a while back and bought a 4cyl. wrangler. I couldn't stand it, so I sold it and found the 4.0 wrangler that I wanted.

I hear ya JV3, this has been a terrible winter. Terrible ice finishing, barley any snow, etc... To most that sounds nice, but I live up north because I like the winter and this has been a terrible and disappointing one.
