I would like to apologize in advance for this question. How come strider does not have a sub forum here? Never really thought about it until tonight and after being here for some time.
 
I know they can be found else where, but they try to get me to buy my own domain website or something which I find kind of strange like I'm buying into some top secret government conspiracy cult website where I'll be watched or monitored after I join. Let me know.
 
Right. And even with a representative to moderate it, not every subforum can be successful. That largely depends on whether the representative the manufacturer chooses to moderate the subforum has the right attributes. Some are better at it than others. IMO, if Strider (or any other manufacturer, for that matter) doesn't have a qualified candidate to be a moderator, they'd be better off not setting up a subforum in the first place.

Indeed! I would say also that they need to pick a "philosophy." Either it needs to be a place where the brand's fans can share their experiences enjoying the product, unmolested by non-fans (who get sent to General to freely share their experiences); or it's open to everybody of all opinions.

Either is fine, but you can't have both it seems.

It's cool. Wasn't trying intentionally trying stir anyone's pot. I had tried in the past and that's what had happened? I don't know what I'm talking about either.
