do the employyes at CRK all own and carry CRK knives? if so, can you let us know what they carry? does Chris carry a sebenza? plain? decorated? pic? ;) anne? Lisa? any others? just thought other as well as me would like to know. of course, i also know the phrase referring to "the cobbler's shoes', but hey, it's worth a try :)
 
Everyone carries something!

Chris: Large classic leather inlay (at the moment)
Anne: #21 Mnandi with Ziricote
Ken: Small Sebenza with silver contrast Calvary and his name engraved
Bridget: Mnandi with Bocote
Tammy: Small Classic (left handed)
Lisa: Small Sebenza with her name engraved
Pam: Small Sebenza with double thumblugs
Bryan: Small original profile Sebenza (that he has had for about 8 years and he got a year or more before he started working at CRK!)
Tim: Large Pheasant Tail
Merlin: Small Classic with double thumblugs (or Mnandi prototype for best)
Keith: Large Sebenza or Small Classic (depending on the mood)
Mike: Large Sebenza silver contrast, double thumblugs and swedge
Allen: Small Classic with inlay
Matt: Large Classic silver contrast with mother of pearl inlay
Josh: Large Sebenza

Quite a few of the guys have more than one knife, and most members of ourfamilies also have CRKs (some of them have several!) – a fully comprehensive list would be way long!

Come on, one of you folks has to be carrying an Umfaam. I carry mine everyday, and it's the coolest, sheeple friendliest, forget about it until you need it knife around!
 
Wow, that's the kind of employees I'd like to work with. Hey, that's the kind of company I'd like to work for, too. :D
 
that was a quick reply anne. thanks so much!! i too, however, am a bit chagrinned that there is nary a mention of an Umfaan among the crowd. i too carry mine every day, and a #127 Zircote Mnandi (LOVE them both!!).
 
Does a heart good to know that everyone at CRK carries some type of blade that was made at the place that they work ! :)
 
Well, I carried my PP 21 Umfaan every day for years until I began carrying the Mnandi (it is in the safe now! :)). If it helps, Merlin's wife has one that she keeps in her purse - with a special unique design that he did for her, and with a diamond inlaid into it!

Very interesting! I expected more of the females to carry smaller knives (umfaan/mnandi) but it seems this is not the case.
 
You have to remember that this is a workshop environment - if it were a traditional office environment, you can bet the knives would be smaller! Also, this was the poll I did on the spur of the moment, who knows how different it might have turned out if it had been at a dinner party - or a camping trip!

I know when I talked to Heather awhile back she stated she carries a Mnandi.
 
That's awesome to see a company that trusts in their work and takes pride in it I know places where people wouldn't even step foot in the buildings on their off day, let alone carry a constant reminder of it around in their pocket! That's another proof positive their products are amazing. If the employees TRULY trust in it, and not just to try and sell it to people
 
One thing you could say about Chris Reeve knives is that they are all good no matter what you carry.
 
I think you should tell the employees to bring in their favorite CRK knife on a certain day to do a group pic of them all. I think it would be a very impressive line up of some neat knives.
 
I wish I bought the leather inlayed one that carried back then. I loved the look of it, but never took the plunge.
