Hey guys just a quick question for you all that would have more info on this. Im looking to make an throwing axe and I cant seem
to find what thickness they are. I've made knives before out of 1/8 metal. Now would that be ok or should i go thicker?? to maybe 3/16 of an inch?? any info you all can give me would be great and thanks in advance

whatever you want should work. I throw hawks that are probably only 1/16" or so thick at the bit , and I throw full-size axes that are twice or three times that at the bit. also throw some that are in-between.

how long in what dimension? bit is about 4 inches toe to heel, blade is about 4 inches center-of-handle-to-center-of-edge-of-bit, handle is about 18 inches long...............
