This is Bill's forum and he allows a lot of lattitude. But he and I really hope to see others treated with kindness here.

But for criminey's sake, if you can't be kind, at least don't be mean. And if you don't have anything good to say, PLEASE don't say it here, and spoil things for the rest of us.

Off my soapbox.

( Imagine Enigma American Indian music here )

Let your love of the khukuri flow and synergize with your brethern, and all will be
well.....

( Enigma monk chanting )

Feel the binding power and love of your blades rise and form a new, colorful and wonderful group conciousness...

( Fading Enigma sax.... )

You mean like that Rusty? :D

Actually, it's more like "knock off the catfights"!
;) :p :D :footinmou

I'll be kinder. I'll even lighten up if someone can get the crowbar under all that angst. And don't step on the manure when you climb into the rig; this is a cattle hauler and she aint pretty.

Ahh, I'll do that one better. I wrote this to Fenry tonight; "It only takes one warm statement, one hand, or one truly friendly joke to erase all the crap you've been suspecting your neighbors of harboring."

I tend to take comments that I "should" have any certain belief system unkindly.
I can only know what's right for me. I'll give others that respect, and I demand it, in turn. I'll refrain from using the Bible as a bludgeon if others use it carefully and sparingly.

How about this policy:

"If the hair starts to rise on the back of your neck, close your browser. It ain't worth it."

How hard can it be?

I know we're all passionate about khukuris....if half our disagreements were about those, we'd be doing pretty good. ;)

Dang Spectre- you're not the first friend I ever knew with a less than ideal exposure to Christianity. It happens.

Actually, we're thinking of removing our children from the local church because there's far too much damnation and not enough salvation.

We love to hate.

I am not claiming "my way" is the way- I simply want the same respect I give.

John

Must admit

I often try to treat others as they treat me, or I see them treat others.

It may not be ideal but it gets the message across. ;)

But heard & understood.

cheers,
Spiral

And we know that of you, my friend.

Thanks for trying Rusty.

Worst thing western civilization ever did was to ban dueling, killed civility right off. Be a lot fewer rude people in the world if they had to back up their lip in front a 1/2 inch lead ball or three feet of pointy steel.

And that's how things escalate.

I kinda like the duel at 20 paces idea.

I could give a ratsass what anyone thinks, or believes, or does, as long as he isn't doing it to me. And I could also care less about anyone's opinion of me or what I believe. Whatever part of the human condition that makes it necessary to get the approval of others for what we believe, or to force our opinions and beliefs on others, I obviously lack, and I'm glad of it.

You lack it more than I, and that's far gone.

This social animal as a protective measure for the species leaves a lot of us behind.

btw- how do you think the rat's ass ever came to be barter?

Bears repeating....

Ben - your hardline view is fine with me as long as it doesn't impair or impede any feelings of sensitivity I might care to express.

rbtl.....;)

We all have the right to hold our opinions regardless of those of others.

We don't have the right to express certain parts of those opinions on BladeForums.com.

If you doubt this, try calling Spark names and see how long you last 'til you're bounced from BF.C.
