I got this on Saturday from a friend of mine that more or less dropped out of the knife making business a few years back. His name is Daniel Ehrenberger and he was once on the verge of being a mastersmith. He mainly specialized in large bowies and hunters. I had him make several of these in various handle materials, but they all seem to slip through my hands over time
He had this one in progress and I finally got him to finish it-I'm keeping this one! It is 7 7/8" overall and the steel is 1095. It has a tapered tang too. Nothing fancy, but it's wicked sharp. I do need to get a sheath made though, because I got tired of waiting on him to make one
