My wife and I were at the NYCKS for the last two days. Just wanted to say thanks to Rick, Rob, and all the other folks at the Hinderer table. Y'all ROCKED!!!!!!!!!:D Great information, more than willing to talk to customers and answer questions. I have to give major props to Rick H. When he was getting ready to do the lottery, the first thing he said was how grateful he was to all the folks that want to buy his product. A REAL CLASS ACT!!!!!!!

thats one thing you really gotta love about rick and the folks that he surrounds himself with, very down to earth... just good peoples :)
I hate to say it, but its the truth, a lot of knife makers become total pricks once they get a little bit of money and recognition rolling in... not the case with these folks!

My thoughts exactly! I missed winning on both lotteries but had a great time hanging out with the Hinderer team. Rick and Rob are very down to earth guys and appreciate our patronage. They surround themselves with good people and if Pete or mike are at the table make a point to talk to those quality gents too!

I spent some meals and drinks with them and can tell you guys that you all would be happy to get one of their knives for sure but you would also be Proud to call them new friends as well!

Thanks guys and glad stevekolt had a great time as well!

Jeff

I wasn't at the show but I have agree with the stated sentiments about the Hinderer crew. No other company stands behind their customers the way they do. It's not just the same old marketing bullshit that you hear fanboys parroting from each other. These guys talk the talk and walk the walk.

A big public thank you to Rick Hinderer and company for their support of law enforcement and first responders everywhere.

Good Thread to keep going. Hey Rick/Rob there are some nice knife shows in the Poconos (N/E Pa) and the Heart shaped bathtubs are a bonus. Nice Casinos now too!

Just a thought.....;)

While were on the subject, you should come out to the shop for our February get together!

Yes, we are having a get together in conjunction with another 2-day knife defense class, more than likely Feb 4-5. You do not have to attend the class if you just want to come and hang out, we will have tons food, giveaways, of course knives! Class attendees like the past 2 classes will have an oportunity to purchase a special knife available only to the students. We have 3 spots left if the class interests you.

TDI Knife Defense Course Description:

This course presents students with skills they need to effectively utilize a folding or fixed blade knife as a defensive tool to repel a lethal force attack. Contrary to most knife programs, this class is designed to address the realistic situations students are likely to face. The course introduces simple, effective movements that re easy to learn, court defensible and work well under stress. Topics covered include: knife selection, carry locations, legal issues, rapid deployment techniques, responses to life threatening physical assaults, knife techniques for handgun retention, and dealing with multiple attackers. The course utilizes a combination of live cutting drills and force-on-force scenarios using training knives to ensure that students gain a high level of proficiency. Join Greg Ellifritz and John Benner as they teach this expanded two day version of the class recently adopted by the Ohio Peace Officer's Training Academy as the first defensive knife class to Ohio police officers. Course Cost $350 If you want to check out TDI: www.tdiohio.com

Damn, February? Couldn't be held at the Top_Secret Underground Lair Shop in Sunny South Florida or the one in Livermore California? :)

We are hardy, but hardly sane for living up here at least for the next 5 months. I just drove through your neck of the woods back and forth to the NY/NJ show. Every year I am pleased that it isn't snowing yet!
