Shot this pic as he charged!!!

There were two of us on horseback, looking for cattle. He was protecting his girls. The paddock is 600 square miles, haven’t a clue what that is in acres.

Thanks Eric for your help.:D :D

Holy Crap Ian!

where are you, when can I come up and bring my hunting bow!!!

Looks like the perfect time to try the "Crocodile Dundee" Hypnotize the wild animal with two finger trick! :D :D

Lemme guess, you jumped on his back and wrestled him down, then skinned him and made a sh!tload of sheaths with the skin... ;)

The picture was taken in the seventies. at one of the stations I worked on, that one is in the Northern Territory.
We shot many for blood samples, the prescribed dose should be 375 H&H and up, though I only ever used a 3006 FMJ’s.

"Crocodile Dundee" LOL, if Paul Hogan was standing in front of that fella, he would need a fresh set of underwear.

We were fairly safe, we were on good horses, they only charge for 100 yards or so, we just wheeled the horses and took off.

It was quite common to come up on Buff’s while mustering. The big ol’ loners were the worst. They had a chip on there shoulder from being kicked out of the mob.:D

This bloke would turn out a few hamburgers, wouldn’t know what he weighed, but I wouldn’t want him sitting on me.
It was also taken in better country lots of feed around him. :D :D

Hi Guy,
Not too sure about the bow on a Buff mate, might just p#ss him off. I happened to place 3-3006 sporting rounds into one once, just made him angry.

But then I don’t know much about bows. :D

They work on em okay, it's stalking in to 20 yds from em thats the tricky bit, or scary bit I should say...

Jerry, can ya make us up an extra long 'Nuclear Buff Buster?' ;)

Just for backup ofcourse...

Ian,
Very Cool pic, glad I could help out.

Keep 'em coming, I enjoy the pics from "down under" :D:D
