Yesterday I was home in the RTDTB compound sauntering through the Sunday paper when I happened upon the obituaries. There was a man I knew quite well. I met him in the bicycle tour circuit and he was always riding with his son as I was with mine. We camped by eachother several nights and he was truely a nice guy. An architect, a great father, married for over 20 years to the same gal. He died last week of a brain tumor at the age of 52. After reading this I wandered out into the back yard and stared at my pond and felt the sun and smelled the smells of fall and thought how fragile and short life really is. People I know its Monday morning but life is a gift every day you need to be glad your here to be a part of it....

oh and as a side note...I wish God would Dam Cancer to hell where it belongs. :(

Smoke and prayers for his family. You're right, I think we all take life for granted sometimes. (or most times)

Amen to that....
We all spend so much time worrying about what we don't have or what we could have had, that we forget to be grateful for all the wonderful things that we do have.
Sorry to hear about your mate Ren..... It sounds like you are both richer for having known each other.

I knew there was a reason I liked you Ren. I count my blessings daily. It is good for us to remember that. My sympathies to the loss of your friend.
