Just a thought - how about a forever Pirate Membership for lost friends?

Recently we've lost Doug C. and Bill (Maniacal Pete). Dearly loved and missed. We've lost others over the years too. Members, makers, friends.

How about giving them permanent Pirate memberships? It doesn't cost anything for the software to it. Maybe even a custom title? We could have a nomination list, but the top 2 for me would be Doug and Bill.

I don't mind setting up a special membership level for folks who've passed on, but I don't want to associate the specific "Pirate" membership with it. I'm open to suggestions for other names though.

Spark's not saying it can't be pirate themed, just that there's already a "Pirate" membership. You know, the $1000 dubloon one?...

Pirates go to Davy Jones Locker when they die, and several of our lost members couldn't have been any more piratical.

It's the one that most makes sense, and immediately conveys to the reader of any particular post that the poster has shuffled off this mortal coil, held in high regard by their shipmates...
