I have a thought, not sure if this ever get done before or been ask before.

Lets say one person wants to build a custom from Busse. Either is already exist model or a new Busse INFI idea that is never yet release before. A custom price usually will be a bit higher cuz they gotta set machine and all that. If the person ask more ppl who are interested in forum to join, lets say successfully gather 100 ppl. or more......would this act bring down the custom price

For example, the popular wanted production Meaner Street is $227.00 from MOJO info. Remake a custom Meaner Street might be (i never asked, just assume) will be $400+. I am sure a lot of ppl here will want to hv a Meaner Street for EDC cuz they hv missed out. Gather the men power of demand will make this custom MrS price down to affortable $300.00 for everyone??

So all the machine setting will not just to use to produce 1 knife for one person, will be 1 knife for 100+ ppl. It will be a custome that is semi-production. Idea of supply & demand from bunch of hungry HOGs. Power of mob.

Like I said, just a thought. Will it turn out to be an offer that is hard to refused by Boss Hog, that I don't know

Boss Hog, am I put you on a hard situation :D If I did, I am sorry~

Well... All I know is a dozen hogs drooled over the Karambit that Porkgunnin'ForTheEggNogCauseHe'sADrunkerdButHe'sMyBrother has and Jerry put it into production....

SO I WANT A FUSION UNCLE MOFO THE SIZE OF A FUSION BATTLE MISTRESS

But steel prices have gone up over the past couple years

I'm pretty sure that Busse production knives are done in much larger batches than 100.

Also the Busse mystique is driven by scarcity.

If you could get any knife at any time, there would be no reason to collect, just buy what you need because you could always get another.

SO I WANT A FUSION UNCLE MOFO THE SIZE OF A FUSION BATTLE MISTRESS.

Hmm.....u confused me a little. Is current version of Uncle Mofo a Fusion?? from Uncle Mofo's handle it doesn't looks like fusion type. Size of a BM, the isn't FBM is close to what you are asking for? I do notice uncle blade portfile is more curved than BM. Is it good enough reason to make Uncle bigger to match BM, would biger version of Mofo be too redundant compare with BM?

I think a fusion handle on a Uncle Mofo can be expected. Uncle needs a bit updated with big "F" I assume it will be happen within 3yrs. I think no real need to push boss hog for a FUM, we just have to give him time as usual :D

Me can be wrong....

Uncle Mofo has an E handle and has yet to be fusioned, but I a fusion uncle mofo that is as big as the FBM.

I don't confuse, I merely state the unstatable of which those which state, are understood.

KAAK, sorry...sometimes me did not do my homework very well. I just did a search on Uncle. Yeah, you are right. Looks like FBM might find herself a husband FUM :D

I would go for an FBM version of this

I got my Meaner the old fashioned HOG way. I scrounged for it, secondary-market style.

Or you could do what I did. Order this set and wait almost three years to get them. Presenting the one and only matching set of "MEAN STREETS". Leaner Meaner Street, Meaner Street & Porky Parkway!!!

RB, That's an awesome looking set:D Damn that Porky Parkway is as wide as a highway:eek: How thick is it anyway??

Anyone that like the mean streets and missed out should have picked up the 4" INFI scrapper. It was up for around 3-4 days......
Almost an eternity in Busse special runs. :D
Also, it's fully flat ground!

The Meaner and the Leaner Meaner will probably be coming around again some day in the production cycle. Only the LE versions with the Tiger Skin Micarta were stated by Jerry to be a one time offering. If you have enough patience you will get amother shot at standard models at whatever the Busse prices are at the time. The aftermarket premium is the cost of impatience.

The aftermarket premium is the cost of impatience.
True, but you gotta have A LOT of patience! It probably would have been fine if Jerry had stuck to the original plan of one knife per month......
But we all know what happened to that!
BUT I'm really, really, not complaining! Quality first! A lot of great stuff has come out the shop, and Jerry's got to have time to drink so his brain can keep thinking of great INFI blades!
Not only that, compared to a lot of other "extreme" hard use custom knife makers, Jerry's knives are an absolute bargain, even at aftermarket prices.

Here's a more direct question to the boss: What is your minimum size for a special run?
