We just tried to upgrade our Version of Internet Explorer to 5.01 on a workstation, using the Windows 95 Upgrade site. During the automatic update process from MS,
F-Prot warned us that the following incoming files were boot sector viruses:
CKCMV.EXE
ADDREG.EXE
VC0.EXE
I just upgraded our .def files yesterday from Command, so that's probably how we caught it. I dunno what's up, but Microsoft's automatic update is pushing infected files to users unknowingly.
Maybe someone knows the right people to email about this?
