I don't wanna mention names ...either people or manufacturers but let us find a way of making this an enjoyable forum.

- I don't wanna see another post that should have been discussed, face to face and in private.

- I don't wanna see dirty washing being done in public.

- I don't wanna read any more personal insults and attacks.

- I do wanna read unbiased reviews.

- I do wanna see manufacturers back their products without hesitation.

Come on guys ..... this is enough !!!

Have we evolved to where a public display of poor judgment is called for? This is my hobby ...I collect knives. I have some great stuff and some crap ...but they are paid for.

To the moderator ...... lock these posts that are not in the true spirit of a knife discussion. If you don't, we will never be educated to use our self control.

Please guys, let us all be civilized.

Aubrey

I second the motion. I believe the new forums are a step back in the right direction, to educate.

Gotcha covered Aubrey. In fact in one of my latest posts I apologized to the moderators for the precarious position they where put in. I told them to feel free to lock/move any thread they wish. Bob and Jim are wise moderators and they will do the right thing.

As far as this whole issue I beleive it was a long time comming and actually some really cool things occured partly because of it.

Mad Dog now has his own forum and that is really cool.

KFC is now no longer a burden to Earl and he can sleep easier at nights and spend more quality time with his kids. I need to do the same.

We now have new moderators over here from KFC and more who wish to come on board. We did not contact them, they contacted us.

I know you just got back and all and the fact is the situation was dying all on it's own.

I am tired

Going to NC with Bram Frank this weekend. That should be fun!

I do promise to keep these forums running as smooth as possible. I had no idea that my post about Mad Dog's "notch therory" would come to this.

The easiest way to handle this is to simply make no more posts on those threads. They are not to be deleted as they contain a lot of information people will want to have. They will slip down to the point where you can't see them anymore very quickly.

So your job now is to come up with more new stuff to talk about!

I second that, these forums are lifeblood to a lot of us, so keeping the personal attacks to a minimum would be Great, or at least putting them down in THE GOOD/BAD/UGLY section would make more sense.

Back to constructive instruction with less destruction, hmmm....

It wasn't REALLY...that bad...just inappropriate for this particular forum. Maybe their should be another forum for this, the general forum is for "Knives" in general...but maybe their could be a forum specifically for more sensitive topics such as this? I dunno...just a thought. I'd really like to know the facts, no matter what or who is involved. -AR
