I just picked up a OHT, I couldn't believe it was on clearance at my local sporting goods store. I will definately be pocketing this one tomorrow and this weekend when I head out to my local bike trail to help clean up some downed trees. This brings my total to 4, I have an old Huntsman, an Adventurer, a Farmer and now the OHT. I was going to try and sharpen the serrations off but I think I will try them out for a while and see if they grow on me. Besides I already carry a para mili as my dedicated blade. I actually hope to getting alot of blade time this weekend.

Congrats! good idea to give the serrations a try first, I wanted to do the same thing but gave em a try and now I really like the way Vic does em!

The OH Serrated Vics have really grown on me . I have three ATM , they have basically supplanted my "Tacticals " for everyday use . They are a snap to sharpen on a spyderco sharpmaker , the serrations are in the right place .

I think you'll love the OHT, and even more so when you get proficient at closing it one handed. Some people have a hard time doing this, but the best method I've found is to curl your index finger around so the top of your fingernail is doing the pushing on the liner lock - as per the attached pic. You're not really pushing out or trying to extend your index finger, but more just making a tighter fist or gripping the knife harder and the nail just pushes the lock out of the way - don't know if I'm explaining it right, but it's really simple once you get the hang of it.

Also a good idea to keep the serrations for a while - a lot of us have found that they do grow on you! ;)

great value that OHT, though it's not in the same league as a spyder para mil; i m sure there will be little to complaint of (if at all?).
serrations are an oddity on any SAK; but seeing that they're already in place, my opinion entirely to think of it as some necessary evil on an otherwise nifty piece of hardware.

Any PITA factor caused by the serrations is more than offset by the super saw , and locking flat driver .

+1  .

I saw the OHT on Clearance myself a few weeks ago. It went for like 14.00 and they had a Leatherman Blast and Micra combo for like 24.00. I couldnt believe it. I got the Blast. I already have 2 OHTs.
