Just an Idea Busse...However?

After getting my first Busse I started thinking how great it would be to have a multitool made from INFI.

I really enjoy my Leatherman Charge TTI but what if Busse made a Multitool to complement any of their blades?

I'm new here obviously and I'm sure it's not the first time the idea has been posted. And it would probably be a production nightmare. But man if Busse could pull it off.

A Busse INFI woodsman multitool !

Just a thought...

Right after the Busse Folder...:D

I am still waiting for an INFI socket set.

I cant see Busse ever getting into those markets and I'm not sure whether I personally would want them to when seeing what happens to other companies who split focus on product lines.

My company is a pefect example of this consequence...I won't bore everyone to tears, suffice it to say I've been experiencing it for two years now and it ain't pretty.

Busse makes outstanding fixed blades....and they do it like no other and offer nothing else (Rat folder aside). We see it time and time again when a company offers one product to the best their market has seen, they inevitably branch out into other products for more profit and market shares.

Sadly the majority of those companies end up losing focus and quality in the original product :(

I am merely one man with enough body mass for two...but still only enough votes for one man. My vote would not to waste time with multitools. There are other brands like Leatherman & Victorinox who already make a really superiod multitool product....thats all I need.

I am a truly believe now in the old phrase 'Do one thing and only one thing but do it better than anyone else'

Good points. I am happy with Busse fixed blades and Spyderco folders, but don't get me wrong, I'd buy a Busse folder in a heart beat!

When I used to work for a company that stepped outside of it's core capability...
it took a client telling the Pres that "you all should stick to your knitting" for him to get back to core competencies.

That expression has stuck with me for a long time... and is very true!

.

I would also say that it would probably detract from the core fundamentals of what makes busse awesome. it would tax the company at their current size, and I'm not sure jerry really wants to go into the multiple facility mass-production arena.

however.... I would LOVE to see someone make a leatherman charge blade out of something like the hack. I'm happy with the 154cm already in it, though I've broken the tip twice (NOT prying, just working with wood, once cutting paper on some pine 2x4's), but if I had the money I'd probably commision one or buy the machinery to make it myself.

I just want a simple Busse folder. Nothing fancy, just INFI and strong frame lock. That's about as far as I'd care to see them go outside fixed blades.

I'd like to see Busse make another fixed blade, and another and another and another and another and another and another and another and another and another and another and another ................................................................:):)

honestly, I hope the Busse folder never comes to fruition. short of some never-before-seen and strong-as-a-fixed blade locking method or some other ninja-jedi-forever-changes-folders innovation, I hope they concentrate their efforts on more of the same...

the best fixed blades one can own, backed by the best warranty and best people.

if ever there was a case for trying to fix something that isn't broke, Busse branching out beyond fixed blades is one of those. me, I'd be happy with more t-shirt options... ;)

+++++11111:thumbup:

Id like a busse folder but I think ts cool if they just stick to their fixed blades. They do an awesome job and might as well just keep being awesome:)

Folder!!!!!!!

And maybe an Infi woman! that would be the $10,000,000 woman, with the best warranty in the business! Not one for snuggling though.

that is an bad idea . busse is a brand of combat and outdoor knife at all, and do right at thoese area .

I have dreams of a Busse blade/Strider frame, folder joint effort. Imagine those sales numbers? Would be simple on both ends.
Would be the last folder I ever buy but of course i'd buy about 10 if I could.
I can dream can't I?
I wonder if any basement grinders out there have attempted this at home?

Where's Ducci?

Now that would be one heck of a killer folder.... :D

A Busse/Strider folder, I would be all over that one. :D

Dreaming of an SmF with an INFI blade. :)
