Well Gib, Linda ,and I got another one under the belt....
If the grip seems a bit shiny and plain - it's because this one is headed to Dr Jensen for some of his fantastic scrimshaw which I've offered for your perusal in the near past...

Anyway this is number three of four sheaths we've gotten to do - (for the first two see our other posts - "Silk Purse from a Sow's Ear", and in "Integrating Sheath Design & Knife Style"
coming soon #4 - the sheath for Wild Goo #1 - Tai Goo's lovely wootz and stag Bowie headed to Keith Montgomery.

As always thanks to Gib and Linda for making my part so easy.....

Looking at knives and sheath work like this makes me dream I'm born out of my time... I could much more happily dress in buckskin and trick myself out with a rifle and knife like this than what I actually do. That is of course, until I walk into the winter morning and think what the nights would be like in the mountains in a nineteenth century February...then I like my furnace. But this is the stuff of dreams and you've given me a fine one this morning. Thanks all, that's just fantastic.

What Dave said, beutiful work. Brings to mind images of black powder and grizzlies.

Thankee all - as always this is my "fun" work - everyone is always different - even if sometimes they have a similar look.

Greg aka Ripper - I've looked into but the cost - unless I buy a ton - is just too prohibitive.
