I'm loving both these blades right now. The Lite chops like a maniac, and the handle is just flat out amazing. Not much more to be said that hasn't been covered in here.

Love seeing these pics! I finally got settled in my new apartment and was able to place my order with Derrick today. Should have the same combo on it's way to me sometime this week!

BTW, what do you think of the machete's edge? Is it pretty sharp from the factory or could it use some touching up?

I wasn't going to get the lite, I figured the junglas would be good enough for me, but now I think I'm going to have to get the lite as well....

its plenty sharp, there's some laquer on it to protect against rust, i scraped it off mine with a screwdriver.

I am just waiting for some extra money to jump on the Lite. The Junglas does feel very good in the hand though. Just hoping my yard dries out soon enough for me to be able to get out and use it some more

Both of those look great! I think I'm going to end up getting a Junglas at some point in the future.

Looking on the KSF site for specs it lists the blade of the Lite Machete as being .065" which is a couple of thousandths more than 1/16". Is that right? In your pics it looks thicker but hard to tell from a picture.

Nice combo there. Got a LM on my way too, and got a RTAK-2 yesterday. The RTAK rules and cant wait to test the machete.
Nice pics

Mist- I'll try to get some photos soonish, but it's thin. It's thinner and lighter than my condor elsalvador. Chops nicer too for it I think.

The edge is very good. I broke off the laquer, and used a ceramic rod to touch it up. Total time, under a couple minutes.

took my caliper to it and it measured 0.078" right where it meets the handle, 0.070 right at the middle of the blade, and then 0.055 at the tip.

They should make a "Bad mofo survival" combo package of these two. Everyone seems to get both one way or another.

0.078 is definitely better, and I love that handle. If I still lived in the deep south it would be great. For my neck of the woods I better just go with the Junglas.
