Hi guys,
I just, quite literally 5 minutes ago, received my very first Emerson knife. After much debate I opted for a mini CQC-7B SF, with a plan to make it my edc assuming I liked it. Anyway I've not really had it long enough to comment on, but from what I've seen of it this far it looks pretty darned perfect to me. In fact it looks a whole lot better in the flesh - I don't think the pictures I've seen have really done it justice!

I've got a quick question for you guys though, it's got the serial number 382 on it, so how many of these are going to be numbered? In other words, should I worry about keeping it in good condition?

Jay,

Told you you'd like it !

The only problem now is that this won't be your last knife, you'll just need to buy more.

Derek you're quite right, and thanks for the encouragment (read: pushing me into buying an Emerson

Seriously I'm really happy with this little knife.

I think serial numbers are an evil plot to make us buy more knives!!

The Mini CQC7s are awesome. I'm pretty damn impressed with both the "A" (Spear point) and the "B" {Tanto) versions, but I think I prefer the "A". Very unassuming "little" knife. Talk about a "Wolf in Sheep's clothing"

I seem to recall that up to the first 1000 may be serialized. Derek may be able to shed more light there.

Personally . . . I'd say use the Hell out of it. But buy another one anyway.

John, thanks for the info.

Oh heck, if theres like a thousand of 'em, I shall immediately start using it... luckily it's garbage day, so theres plenty of "evil" cardboard boxes around that will need to be taught a lesson....

I'm still wondering which Emerson to go for next...

And an Emerson fan to boot.

Johnny Cash, A boy named Sue.
