Just arrived...Trail scalpel!

I was on a waiting list for this for a while, about 4 months or so, and it finally arrived today! Very excited to add the trail scalpel to my small but growing Busse collection!

Congrats!, that does look great. I have a Rodent Trail in the same color combo.

On the wait list, was it a "take it or leave it" based on finished knives that are available, or is it based on having blanks left and you get to pick the blade coating and scales you want?
 
From my understanding it's a take it or leave it. Let Garth know what you're looking for though, and I bet he'd help out out best he can.
 
They only had one blank left in sr101 but I got to chose blade finish and scales

Thanks for the info guys, I guess maybe it could go either way depending on what they have. I wasn't looking for one of these in particular since I have the RT, but there are some others I've thought about calling about.
 
From my experience with a waiting list, i had a choice on handles/blade color.
 
I like mine. I am thinking of putting some kydex on it and making it an EDC. It is about the right size for that. My issue is I went crazy during OP2W now I am paying a bit lol. Besides the fact I purchases enough knives that I could have bought a new small car lol, now I am trying to decide what to carry. I am going to find the INFI or SR101 that fits me the best. I really like the smaller blades and have fallen in love with the Badger Attack nice showing that one too. The BA was a blade I did not like when I got it. Now the trail scalpel just has the feel like it is perfect for carry when doing a day hike or just messing around for the day. you are showing the two best daily knives that were offered in my opinion. I have learned to love both of them. The more I handle them, the more I like them. Great scores, I hope you love them.

Thanks! I am looking to have kydex sheaths made up for both of them locally. Totally agree about EDCing the trail scalpel!
