Ok, to all of you knife gurus out there. I would like a little help on my knife subject. I have an old Kbar knife with leather sheath. Its old. Its in great shape except the leather handle has shrunk over the years and the guard is a little loose. What i want to know is, it was made by camillus newyork. Its stamped on the blade. The sheath is leather but covered by and old Marine camo material. It looks identical to a kbar. What i want to know is, is it a kbar made by Camillus and what metal is it made out of? I cant load any pics, i have already tried so im just going on written discription. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The Mark 2 combat knife was made by a variety of makers, Ka-Bar, Camillus, case, Ontario, and others. they are most commonly made from 1095 steel.
Enjoy your knife.
