Hi all!
I am new to posting here but have been reading the forums for about a year now (wow I thought it was way less than that:eek:.)

I am from Texas and have been collecting and carrying knives off and on ever since I was a little kid.

Anyway just wanted to say hi to all!

Thanks! Well i started buying knives again here about a year and a half and mostly budget blades, currently I like the Tenacious and the Cara Cara and I carry those or a Kershaw most of the time, but I been eye balling the ZT0450, it's just more than I want to spend on a knife right now.
 
I was a Gold member for awhile. I got spanked for getting "political" on current events a couple times and decided I would just up the membership so I could participate in that forum. But I realized that it really wasn't for me afterall and I wasn't selling any knives, so I just let it lapse after I think 3 years. Probably will upgrade again. Anyway, welcome to the forums.

I just became a paid member too. I went gold last night but it still shows that I'm just a "Registered User" how long before yours was changed too "Gold Member"? Thanks!

You are Gold now. It isn't showing because you have not updated your profile. You have to manually update your user profile to show your current membership level. The forum software does not automatically do that when you buy a membership. There's a link in my signature line which will take you to the correct page in your profile.

Thanks for the blessing and thanks for supporting the site.

A lot of us kind of drifted into this place. I lurked for a year reading, but not posting and did not register. Then I registered. A year later I went Gold.

I've never bought or sold any knives. I just wanted to support the site where I was spending a lot of time and which was giving me a lot of enjoyment.

Yeah me too, have been lurking for a year and many times thought about signing up but didn't pull the trigger until now. I have the same thought as you bro, thanks!
