After a couple of false starts, I finally pulled the trigger on a 1962 (H3) Slim Adjustable. I am kind of hoping that this will cure my RAD as it is the razor I started looking for when I found all the other ones. I will say though, I spied an Ever Ready SE at the flea market the other week in mint condition and even though I don't use SE razors I have thought about buying it:eek:

We will see when the Slim gets here if that itch goes away

Well lest just see how close to having each others razor we are, the one I am getting is an H3, but to get as close to my birth year as possible I would need a J4 being a December baby. Then there is always the condition to think about. I haven't seen mine yet but it is to have all of it's plating and no brassing, but 60% of the black paint in the numbers is worn off.

So my Slim came in today, there was one tiny spot of brassing on the edge of one safety bar, but nothing to talk about. I just finished giving it a bath and a quick polish and am very happy with the way it looks and will be using it for tonight's shave. I only wish it had came with a case:( but I can't complain I finally got my Slim:thumbup:

I will post pictures with my SOD post later this evening.

Don't count out Single Edges. I've got a GEM or two and a pack of Ted Pella blades....I have to say that my GEM razors are actually my favorites to shave with.

Also, I may be in the minority, but I like the slim adjustables ten fold better than the fatboys for some reason.

I found that the Slim had near perfect balance, and the handle fit my hand just right. I most likely will hunt down a fat boy, but I am very happy with what I got
