Just bought a Benchmade 670!

My first knife purchase in a while, but had some extra cash burning a hole in my pocket and took the plunge on the apparition. First impressions are that its solidly built with a little extra heft, probably due to all the steel that make up the bolsters. As for the AO, this thing kicks like a mule and I love the noise of its click bouncing off my room walls :D

It came razor sharp out of the box, and opens just as smoothly with the AO feature deactivated. Have now definatley become an apparition fan and will be looking forward to the D2 version.
 
Very nice. A 672 is among the knives I'm considering for my next purchase. Good to hear the assisted opening is nice and strong. It'd be my first AO knife, and my first knife in D2. Tough to know whether I'd like it better than the other knives in the running, but from positive reviews such as yours on its opening mechanism, it's certainly hard to dismiss it for something else.

I just wish I knew how a hollow grind would serve me, as opposed to the flat grinds of all my current knives... But I guess that's not a question to pose for the 670. Anyway, nice snag.
