Just bought a Benchmade Rift

Are there any aftermarket goodies I can get for this blade? I would definitely like to replace the black screws and pocket clip with uncoated screws and pocket clip. Where could I get these items in which I seek? I MAY also be looking for a new set of scales (not right away) and was not sure what my options were, I was even considering doing my own just to see if I could.

Has anyone made any mods to their rift mainly in sanding down the sharper edges of the handle scales?

Has anyone made a kydex sheath for their Rift? My pocket clip on my Griptilian failed miserably and I ended up losing my knife which was also my very forst Benchmade, very dissapointing but I learn from my mistakes. I will be replacing the clip with an aftermarket clip if there is 1 and if possible making a kydex belt loop sheath for it for when i am camping, hiking, hunting or fishing.

BM will most likely send you a polished clip and screws if you contact them. Keyman on the boards here has done several Rift rescale projects. None of my Rifts have ever needed scale sanding, but I'm aware that some have done this to their Rifts. Just make sure you're wearing a mask and in a well-ventilated place. G10 dust and fibers can be nasty if inhaled. I've seen several leather and kydex sheaths for folders made by people on BF. Check the sheath makers' sub-forum. You should be able to get just what you want.

Thanks for the info, i just happen to be a bender myself so i shouldn't have any issues making a sheath, i just didn't know how people worked their way around the axis lock when making a kydex sheath.
