Well, technically it isn't a done deal yet. I am still waiting to get it inspected by my mechanic, but it seemed all good to me and passed the CarFax report so I am pretty confident.

Anyway it is a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse. I like the car, nice and small and seems fun to drive. Only two doors, and a small (tiny) back seat so no people bumming rides all the time. ;)

Just thought I would share my new joy with you guy's. Also guess it means I won't be able to buy any new knives for a while. :(

congrats!

watch the car, as they tend to burn oil the older they get.

no biggie, I am sure your mechanique will check it all out.

congrats and start saving..so many knives so little time!:)

I like the Eclipse. Pretty car, especially the convertibles. The newer models have those goofy ripples on the side - took some getting used to, but now I think they're cool too.

Which version is your's? Isn't the RT the one with the good engine?

Exactly my experience with Mitsubishi vehicles. Some start using oil around 50,000 miles, and go south from there. I personally won't ever own one.

Good luck with yours.

Funny statements above when you realize that the Eclipse he bought more than likely has a Chrysler engine (420A)...

GSX - AWD Turbo
GST - FWD Turbo

Both have the Mitsubishi 4g63 engine. I'm not sure what engine the GS/RS models have. :o
