and above all KNIFE PRON!!

LOL, damn, you are a worry wart ! LOL :D You done good ! Now you gonna make me take some more pics ? Side by side w/BK9 ?

I gots no pics of me beatin on it, but trust me, i have. Maintains a nice sharp edge, even after batoning, it still shaved hair. But it took me 4 attempts to get a good edge. Hold on, i'll go take some pics.

You can see that the belt loop swivels & that the leather is thick. I did the jimping myself. Handle is micarta & does get dirty & dark in color when working. I have cleaned it with some dish soap & an old toothbrush & it comes back to new condition. It would be difficult to carry on your belt & actually get it in & out easily & prob not with one hand either. Sheaths are of no concern for me, but this one is awesome if you like leather. Drop leg, swivel, kydex w/elastic leg strap & QR buckle is what does it for me. It is a great buy. You won't be sorry once you reprofile the blade & get a good edge on it. Hope you enjoy the pics.

wow... bro, if we had a rep system here, that would be a solid +1 for you.

thanks for those pics.

I think this will fill the roll i'm looking to fill nicely. I'm looking for the big knife to do the tasks that my BK7 is a bit too small to do easily

i REALLY like that jimping on the spine... seriously, how did you do that, and can a person with ZERO experience do it?

Listen here bud, I was a person with ZERO experience the day i did that ! Now, i gots lots of experience. I did my whole collection in one weekend. I was a jimping/choiling fool.

Dremel 4000 & lots of accessories. Well, not a lot. I used the large grinding wheel for the choils & the cutoff wheel for the jimping. It ain't perfect but it is fuctional & makes the knife SO much easier to handle doing smaller tasks.

No pics yet of the cutoff wheel.

Go slow. Take your time. Cool it with water. Go slow. Take your time. Cool it with water. Etc. etc.....

nice mods, did you use the stone or pads for the micarta? I think of all the Condors i have the Boomslang is my favorite.

As Twinstick mentioned they come with an obtuse edge right now, which is why--in part due to his feedback--I've started giving them the "Special Grade" treatment. I've let Condor know of the problem and I know they're looking into it. Other than that it's a fantastic knife for the money.

I don't need another big chopper......but I want it. I don't need another big chopper.......... but I want it. I don't need........... :D

Condor is my "go to" brand for fixed blades.
Great performance and value for the money.

Ya did good!

Neither, the micarta handle is bone stock & fit & finish is EXCELLENT ! I have done nothing to the handle.
